Dr. Faries joined JWCI faculty in July 2004 after completing JWCI’s Surgical Oncology Training Program. As Associate Director of Fellowship Education and head of the laboratory of translational tumor immunology at JWCI, Dr. Faries is continuing his studies of patient responses to immunotherapy and the immunologic character of melanoma metastases. Characterization of beneficial patterns of response will lead to new clinical protocols of immunotherapy for cancer. Dr. Faries is also heading JWCI’s clinical program of immunotherapy research, which includes the white blood cell vaccines, intralesional immunotherapy injections, white blood cell transfer therapy and liver perfusion.
